DIY: Wine on the Nightstand

Happy Monday Small Space Dwellers! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I was in bed for most of it but remembered there was a project that I worked on a while back that I wanted to share with you.

When I had first moved into my place I bought this IKEA headboard that comes with two nightstands that side in and out of it. Because the left side of my bed is right against the wall I couldn't use the left sliding nightstand, so decided to turn it into a little bar that holds my wine glasses. (Now you all know that I am not one to throw anything away...lol)

This is a super easy diy. Follow along as I show you how to turn a nightstand into a mini bar!

There are two groove in the back of the wine glass rack that slide right on top of the wood pieces that are anchored to the inside of the night stand.

  1. Hi Nike

This post is so up my alley for so many reasons: i am obsessed with IKEA, i love DIY and i have a problem with throwing re-useable things away. I'm going to lock this idea in my memory bank for when i might need to re-use some furniture

Are you Yoruba by any chance? I am Delta Ibo :)

Thanks for your comment on my guest post at Vanisha's blog

  10. Now thats what I call a good imagination, turning that piece of furniture into a wine cabinet. I could do with one of these myself then I would never have to get off the couch to get a glass of wine ... then again could be dangerous lol.
You have a gorgeous home, I'm off to have a better look around :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hi x

  18. what a great idea! Except, I'll be placing said nighstand next to my bed for so, so easy access to my wine! Just what a girl needs to end the night. Brilliant!
